Applications open for Woodruffs performing arts scholarship
Judy Woodruff chuckles when she says the theatre is “the other woman” in her 59-year marriage to John Woodruff. The performing arts are the focus of the John and Judy Woodruff Performing Arts Scholarship the couple has created through the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln.
They appreciated the straightforward process the Community Foundation uses for creating scholarship funds. John and Judy wanted to build up the fund over time, taking money out of their annual budget each year.
This year, the scholarship is fully funded, and applications are open to area high school seniors or college freshmen planning to major or minor in the performing arts. Students interested in applying should visit CFLL.org to access the application before the March 1 deadline.
