Hayden Museum announces scholarships | North Vernon

The Hayden Historical Museum announced in a Feb. 3 press release it has several scholarships available for JCHS seniors who attended Hayden Elementary school and are planning to attend college or a vocation trade school.

Guidelines for these scholarships are specific and applications should be picked up in the JCHS guidance office prior to applying. All applications must be returned by March 10. For additional information, contact the Hayden Historical Museum at 812-592-8445 or email [email protected]

Some of the scholarships available are:

• The Edward and Marjorie Kehrt Memorial Scholarship — last year’s recipient received a plaque and $1243.87.

• The John and Alice Wohrer Memorial Scholarship — last year’s recipient received a plaque and $1512.36.

• The Martha M. Vogel Memorial Scholarship — last year’s recipients (2) received a plaque and $500.

• The Michael Euler Memorial Scholarship — the award consists of a plaque and a cash award of $1000.

• The Pat Sullivan / Roger Ruddick Honorary Scholarship — the award consists of a plaque and a cash award of $500.

• The Apphia Wohrer Gerth Memorial Scholarship — the award consists of a plaque and a cash award of $250.

• The Berneda Haines Ruddick and Everett Haines Scholarship — last year’s recipient received a plaque and a $10,000 per semester award.
