McCall MacBain Scholarships to Study in Canada 2022-2023

There are applications currently being received for the McCall MacBain scholarships to study in Canada.

Created in February 2019 by John McCall MacBain and Marcy McCall MacBain, through a $200M gift from them, the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill are Canada’s first leadership-driven scholarships for master’s and professional degree students.

These scholarships are designed to support students who are developing expertise in their fields, have a track record of taking initiative, and seek to work collaboratively with others to better understand and address the important problems and challenges facing our society.

Acceptable programs with Summer 2023 admission include courses listed below.

This program must consist of at least 45 credits and take place primarily on one of McGill’s two campuses.

The McCall MacBain Scholar Program asks you to be open and to share your knowledge and ideas. You will have to be committed to your work.

The program is Fully funded and covers tuition and fees for the full duration of the master’s or professional program, a living stipend of $2, 000 CAD per month during academic terms, and a relocation grant for moving to Montréal plus finalist awards.

Scholars will gather at annual summer retreats, biweekly seminars, and monthly speaker series, and connect with global thought leaders through a yearly principal’s lecture, workshops, and other events while studying in one of the world’s greatest multicultural and multilingual cities.

McCall MacBain Scholarships Benefits

Around 20 scholarships will be awarded under this scholarship program. This Canadian scholarship will provide you with:

Tuition and fees for the full normal duration of the master’s or professional program; A living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms; and a relocation grant for moving to Montréal.

You’re eligible for more scholarships as a McCall MacBain Scholar. During the interviews, about 80 finalists and regional award winners will be offered for each category. The most prestigious scholarships for graduate studies are offered by McGill University. They include the 50 Finalist Awards, worth $10, 000 (Canadian) or $20, 000 (International) each, for master’s or professional studies at McGill University.

McCall MacBain Scholarships Eligibility

To apply for 2022 scholarships, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Graduate certificates, executive master’s programs, PhDs, joint degree programs, qualifying year studies, and programs that take place outside of Montreal are examples of programs not covered by this scholarship.

MacBain Scholars must apply directly to McGill for at least one eligible full-time masters or professional program.

Program timelines and requirements vary, so please do your research and find out what works for you.

The McGill McBain Scholarship application deadline is in March.

On your application, you may list up to five eligible programs of interest.

After submitting your scholarship application, you must apply to at least one McGill program by the program’s application deadline, or in December at the latest if you are selected for McCall MacBain Scholarship final interviews

The application deadline for Fall 2023 admission is August 25, 2022, for international applicants and September 21, 2022, for students and graduates of universities in Canada and the United States and Canadians abroad.
