Rotary Foundation The Rotary Foundation provides scholarship funding through a global grant. Scholarships provide funding for graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years.

- Host Institution
- Any recognized university in the country where the applicant has a Rotary Club or district hosted outside the country.
- Offered Courses
- Graduate-level coursework or research in one of Rotary’s six fields: Peace and Conflict Prevention / Resolution, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water and Sanitation, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, and Economics And offers social development courses.
- Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Provide Facilities
- The minimum budget for the Global Grant Scholarship is $30,000 which provides the following funds: passport/visa, taxes, travel expenses (as stated in the terms and conditions of the grant), school supplies, tuition, room and board, home furnishings, language training courses (but only if university admissions are permanent to improve language skills).
- Most personal and miscellaneous expenses are not covered by scholarship funding.

- Application instructions
- Interested applicants can contact their local Rotary Clubs through the Rotary Club Locator to be sponsored for the grant.
- Global grant applications can be submitted online. The sponsor club or district prepares the initial application, and the scholar candidate then completes the scholar profile online.
- Global Grant Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, but applications must be submitted at least three months before the Scholar’s scheduled departure date to allow a reasonable time for review and processing by the Foundation. Can be given *Each Rotary Club / District may have its own specific timeline.

- Who Eligible to Apply?
- Have a long-term commitment to sustainable and measurable change
- Past work or volunteer experience, educational background, and career plans are linked to at least one area of focus above.
- Have proof of university admission at the time of application.
- An interview will then be conducted to determine the candidate:
- Proven record of success in education
- Well-defined and realistic goals
- Leadership skills and abilities
- Solid ideas for growth in your chosen field
- Commitment to community service
- Pledge to maintain a lifelong relationship with Rotary after graduation

- Working with universities to identify potential candidates for this scholarship is a viable option for Rotary. Universities can also connect international students pursuing graduate studies in the field of attention with local Rotary clubs.
The application procedure is as follows
- Step 1: Rotary clubs and districts must be approved before applying for a global grant
- Step 2: Each of the international and host sponsors must appoint a grant committee consisting of at least five Rotarians.
- Step 3: Global grant applications are submitted in the Grants section of the Rotary website
- Step 4: The sponsoring club or district prepares the initial application, then the Scholar completes his profile online.
- Step 5: The candidate’s name and email address are entered in the application by the host or international sponsor, after which he or she creates a ‘My Rotary’ account.
- Step 6: The application has been submitted at least three months before the date of departure of the scholar. During this period, the Foundation reviews the application and processes it.
- Step 7: Both Rotarian and candidate should be ready to respond promptly to any request for additional information.
- Step 8: Following the approval of the Foundation’s grant, the scholarship is awarded
